The 2-nd National Games of Ukrainian veterans in basketball took place in Kiev on 7 - 9 September 2007 in Kiev. Eight teams participated in competition of maxibasketball in two age groups: 40+ and 50+.

Rivals of Nikolaev athletes were veterans from Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk. There were several well-known players in the teams - the master of basketball: Y. Korobkov, B. Lozgachev, Alexander Povetkin, Alexander Schneider, A. Petrov, and other veteran stars of basketball.

Games were held in sport hull of Water Transport Colledge. The tournament was opened by the teams from Nikolaev and Kharkov. Three-quarters of playing time Kharkov were ahead, but then nikolaevers managed to assemble, reverse the course of the fight and win the opponent with an advantage of 10 points.

This victory lifted spirits and raised confidence in their abilities both - commented after this first victory the coach of AMIKO team Leonid Prokhorov. Next victory against the team of Dnepropetrovsk has culminated already with a gap of 15 points.

But Fortune has changed in the final game and veterans from Donets'k interrupted winning series of AMIKO, proving that in this game they are stronger exactly by 15 points.

Third place went to a team of veterans of Kharkov.

Silver medal went correspondingly to next players of AMIKO team: Prokhorov, Schneider, Petrov, Zhukov, Isaenko, Guk, Gotsulyak and Turovtsev.
